WEST END:

Matthew is the writer and director of Mr Bugg Presents, a theatre company specialising in creating totally original musicals. Their production of Miss Nightingale toured the UK five times, playing to over 50,000 people in 30 venues. It then transferred to the Vaults in London and from there transferred to the West End. It has been nominated for two Offie awards and voted into BritishTheatre.com's top 100 musicals of all time.

OTHER WORK INCLUDES:

Matthew has volunteered for LGBTQI organisation Stonewall since the 1990s. In that time he has played an active and prominent role in campaigns for an equal age of consent and for equal marriage rights. He has also work as a diversity role model in UK schools.

 

Matthew is a keen supporter of new musical theatre and is the Northern Rep for Mercury Musicals Development and Musical Theatre Network. He is a judge for the Stiles and Drew Song Competition and also independently supports emerging Musical Theatre artists.
